So I just came back from my graduation ceremony…and I have to say, I wasn’t expecting to feel sad, I thought I would be completely ecstatic to Finally be graduating. But when I was in the bus on the way from my school to the graduation commencement I was feeling really sad and I started thinking about my four years at high school. And how much I have changed from freshman year to now. But I have to say, I am SO happy I don’t have to go back to high school in the fall. Some words of advice: Try to be as involved as you can in high school, join a debate club, fashion club, chess club, something because you will feel like you are a part of the high school. Or try out for a sports team, maybe Drama is your thing? But I made the mistake of not doing that and I didn’t feel a connection to the school. Only this year, when I accidentally was put into the Drama class did I get involved. I participated in the fall play, and I loved it so I did the spring show as well. And Finally this year I felt a connection, like I was a part of the school. So I highly reccomend trying out for some school team or joining a club and sticking with it if you love it all four years because feeling like you belong to the school makes high school a lot more enjoyable. Also you get to meet and become friends with seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen. Also, with friends, don’t lose your natural personality so that you go from being someone who loves to being around people to someone who’s antisocial because you have become like your friends. It’s good to have different groups of friends that you hang out with so that you can get the best of the high school experience. And what I mean by that is that it’s good to have a group of friends that’s different from the rest of the kids at school so that you get a different experience and also you don’t have to constantly worry about what your friends are thinking because these friends are weird, quirky and don’t really care about what others think. But also it’s good to have friends who love the whole highschool scene and are involved in activities and are social butterflies so that you can get that part of high school, the friends you have to go to school events with.
